Cancellation policy

Session times are in high demand. We require at least 48 hours’ notice if you need to reschedule your appointment, so that another client may take your appointment time. If you cancel within 48 hours, a cancellation fee of $125.00 will be charged. If you cancel within 24 hours from your session or forget to attend your appointment, the full session fee will be charged. You will receive a reminder via text message 3 days prior to your session. The cancellation fee will be charged to your credit card that we will keep securely on file. If you do provide us with more than 48 hours’ notice to cancel, no fee will be incurred.

Please be aware that if you do not confirm your appointment, and we cannot get in touch with you during the 48 hours prior to your session, we will assume cancellation, and a cancellation fee will be charged.

Medicare rebate for Individual Counselling (mental health care plan)

Little Window provides counselling under the Medicare Better Access Program for clients. You may be able to access a Mental Health Care Plan referral from your GP, enabling you to receive a Medicare rebate of between $82.30 and $93.35 per session, depending on who you see on our team.

You and your GP can work together to decide whether you are eligible for this type of plan. The Medicare rebate is available for up to ten sessions per calendar year.

chronic disease management plan (also known as enhanced primary care plan or team care arrangement plan)

You may be able to access a CDMP referral from your GP if you suffer a chronic medical condition. This allows you to have up to five sessions per calendar year with an allied health professional (a Psychologist or Mental Health Social Worker). This referral enables you to receive a rebate of $56.00 per session.

NDIS

Little Window can provide therapy under the NDIS. We are able to provide services to clients who are privately managed. Please speak to our Client Support Team to enquire about this process.

Private Health Cover

We encourage clients to check directly with their private health providers around their eligibility for rebates on sessions with their therapist. Little Window cannot guarantee that sessions will be covered as this is dependent on your selected provider and level of cover. You are welcome to carefully note the type of therapist that you are seeing and to share this information with your private health provider.

While Psychologists and Mental Health Social Workers have a general provider number that can be used with most private health providers, Counsellors have provider numbers that are unique to each private health provider and will differ depending on the private health providers they are registered with.

If you require any further information around your therapist's provider number or the private health providers that they are registered with, please feel welcome to let our Client Support Team know.
