Join the Little Window Team
Current opportunities:
psychologists (generally registered, counselling or clinically endorsed and/or clinical registrars), Mental health social workers and mental health occupational therapists
We are expanding! Little Window is seeking two-three therapists to join our team. This is a contract position with a minimum requirement of 3 shifts per week. One of the positions is for a therapist who can work with children and teens.
Little Window is a unique private practice currently based Yeronga.
We provide individual counselling for adults, couples, adolescents, children and families. Our client base is diverse and as we are a well established practice with an extensive waiting list, your case load will build immediately. We have a high attendance rate and cancellation fees are charged to the client if less than 24 hours notice is provided for non-attendance. Rescheduled appointments are also almost always filled. Although Telehealth sessions are available to our clients when needed, this role is advertised for primarily face-to-face sessions at our practice in Greenslopes/Yeronga, Brisbane.
Practitioners typically see 5-6 clients per day with breaks booked between sessions for the therapist's self-care, including a lunch/dinner break. Shift times are varied, with morning shifts, evenings shifts and Saturday shifts are available. Each therapist on the team works at least one evening shift per week.
The team culture and environment at Little Window has been set up so that you will receive plenty of opportunities for connection and team support, rather than work in isolation, and quality over quantity of client sessions is prioritised. We provide an enriched and soothing counselling environment for both the client and therapist.
At Little Window we highly value who the therapist is as a person (Use of Self, how they build relationships with clients, and authenticity).

Team Testimonials
When first joining Little Window, I was floored by the immediate comfort and ease I felt in the space. Starting any new role can be an adjustment, and commencing private practice felt like a big leap into uncertainty. However, the environment created by Thania, Christina, the therapists and Client Support Team makes it possible to bring my best self to work and to the clients I support. The value that the team places in authenticity, respect and equity allows both therapists and clients to engage in this work with a type of genuineness and safety that I've not seen at other practices. My confidence and skillset as a practitioner has increased exponentially because of the support this team offers, whether clinically, operationally, or socially. Being a part of the Little Window team and community is one of the most nourishing parts of my life, and it is easily the best place I've ever worked.
~ Brittany Archer, Social Worker, Counsellor & Psychotherapist
Over the past year, Little Window has become my second home. I can honestly say that I look forward to coming into the space and being surrounded by like-minded people, who share a passion for the work that we do. Thania and Christina have created a warm, inviting and safe space for clients and therapists alike. They have worked to ensure that their therapists feel a balance of working autonomously whist being part of a fun, collaborative and supportive team. It is a genuine privilege to engage with a diverse array of clients who demonstrate bravery and resilience; and to learn from them in return.
~ Marita Comino, Psychologist
Working at Little Window is everything I hoped a practice could be, but hadn't found yet. I always imagined moving from the community space into private practice there would be less support and I would feel more alone, however it has been the complete opposite. The admin support is incredible, the team are kind and genuine, and during my on-boarding process especially I felt supported every step of the way. It's truly rare to find a workplace who states that they have specific values, but are actually able to follow through on them authentically day to day. It's an absolute pleasure to work alongside dedicated and passionate people who have the same genuine positive regard for their clients, and I feel so lucky to be able to look forward to coming to work every day.
~ Lauren Simpson, Psychotherapist and Counsellor
As an early career Psychologist, I was daunted by the thought of entering private practice. After a series of challenging workplaces, I was feeling the effects of burnout and rethinking my choice in becoming a therapist. Christina, Thania, and the team at Little Window have supported and fostered my growth both personally and professionally. I was validated in my struggles, and was provided space to take the time I needed to heal and recoup. It is a workplace that I thoroughly enjoy coming to; the admin team is like no other, I have maintained my need for flexibility and autonomy, and I am surrounded by a fantastic group of like-minded and incredible therapists. Amongst all this, I’ve had the privilege to work with wonderful clients who are brave, authentic, and have contributed to my growth as a Psychologist. I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to be part of this practice and would not hesitate to recommend it to colleagues and professionals (new and experienced) whose values align with a holistic, person-centred, authentic approach.
~ Cynthia Butler, previous Psychologist
What I love about working at Little Window is the care, compassion and kindness that are shown to all that come into the space. The team is dynamic, supportive, thoughtful and fun. Every day I feel appreciated and valued. It’s not like any other place I have worked at before.
~ Kate O'Connor, previous Principal Psychologist
Little Window is not only a sanctuary for its clients, but for its team as well. The community within this workplace is nothing like I have experienced before, it is full of amazing, like- minded people who all support each other to be the very best they can. The growth I have experienced within my values and simply just myself, is something I will thank this community for every day. I couldn't be prouder to be a part of such an empowering and meaningful team.
~ Ireland Hicks, Practice Manager
What's unique to me about working at Little Window, is that people are truly at the center of the philosophy. Little Window is a space whereby a warm, strong and grounded culture allows you to embrace the Little Window values in a way that is authentic to you, and create days of immense meaning. It is such a beautiful place to be.”
~ Sarah Ekelund Waale, Practice Manager
Little Window is a place that resembles home, where each person is accepted and celebrated for their individuality. Since I began my journey here, I have been encouraged and supported every step of the way. There is such a unique and meaningful culture embedded into Little Window, and I feel incredibly grateful to work alongside such a compassionate team of people.
~ Millie Murray, Senior CST member
It is impossible to think of Little Window as simply a ‘workplace’. It is a community of kind, compassionate, and like-minded people where you are free to embrace your authenticity without fear of judgement. It is a culture that embraces individuality and guides you to grow both personally and professionally whilst also encouraging self-care. Little Window has taught me what a positive and healthy working environment truly is for which I am and will always be extremely grateful.
