Hello, I’m Maddie!

First of all, seeking out support is an incredible step for many of us, whether you're a seasoned therapy-goer or new to the experience, I commend you for taking this courageous step towards your mental health and well-being. As your therapist, I bring warmth, compassion, and an unwavering commitment to creating a safe space where you can share your thoughts and feelings without fear of surprise or judgement. I highly value the importance of having moments connecting through laughter and authenticity, recognising the healing power of humour and a relaxed atmosphere. Your experiences and emotions are welcomed and valued, and my goal is to provide a secure and empathetic environment for our work together.

I draw from a range of evidence-based therapies, tailoring our sessions to meet your unique needs and goals while appreciating that this will look different for everyone. Whether you're seeking support for anxiety, depression, trauma, or life's challenges, I am here to walk with you through the process of self-discovery and healing.

In our sessions, you can expect a collaborative and compassionate partnership. Together, we will explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences, aiming to foster self-awareness and empower you to make positive changes in your life. You are the expert of your own journey, and I am here to support and guide you along the way. I often draw on Schema Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Cognitive behaviour therapy and Narrative therapies.

I am deeply passionate about working alongside fellow members of the LGBTIQA+ community and offering guidance through the complex landscape of gender, sexuality, identity, family dynamics, and relationships. I am committed to providing an inclusive and affirming space for your unique journey.

Outside of my therapeutic work, I find comfort and joy in the world of pottery and ceramics. Creating art with my hands allows me to tap into my own creativity and experiment with vibrant colours and intriguing shapes. If I’m not throwing pots (on a wheel and definitely not on the floor), I’m likely spending time with my dog, Paisley. I am endlessly grateful for the warmth, comfort and joy she brings me on a daily basis.

Some areas I work with include:

  • Complex and developmental trauma

  • Anxiety and depression

  • LGBTIQA+ community

  • Adolescent mental health

  • Parenting support

  • PTSD

  • Borderline Personality Disorder

  • Suicide ideation and self-harm

I consider it a true honour to walk alongside you on your therapeutic journey, welcoming all the parts of you that may have gone unexplored. I deeply respect and admire the bravery it takes to embark on the path of counselling, and I look forward to the opportunity to work with you here at Little Window.
